WHO WE ARE

On a more personal note, I've been married to Brian, a NC/SC real estate professional, for 15 years. We have one teenage son, Jaden, who's a great student and loves baseball, rugby, and video games. We also have two Great Danes, Astro & Scooby Doo, who are our spoiled rotten "big babies."  We love spending time outdoors and enjoy time with family & friends. When we're not busy with one of those activities, you'll usually find us working out preparing for our next obstacle course race. We love Spartan & Savage Races and enjoy getting dirty! We also love corn hole, fishing, and exploring local restaurants.

Meet joanna harris

My journey to this point in my career began when I was very young. I've always had a love for numbers, statistics, and helping people, but I wasn't sure exactly how I'd utilize those skills in my career. Then the summer before starting college, I was introduced to accounting.  While working at a family friend's small business specializing in computer sales & service, I was introduced to QuickBooks. I learned how to invoice customers, receive payments, reconcile accounts, problem solve, and provide excellent customer service. I was in love with everything about the process! 

While attending college at Appalachian State University, I also gained experience in the retail, service, banking, medical, and staffing industries. After graduating with a BSBA in Finance, Banking, & Insurance, I spent 4 years as a Business Manager for an accounts receivable firm and as a Staff Accountant for a promotional products manufacturer. 

I've spent the last 14 years in public accounting serving as a Senior Accountant with a CPA firm in Fort Mill, SC. I've worked with clients on all aspects of their business, from consulting with them during the planning phase to start their companies, through continued years of partnering together to determine best practices for continued growth and tax savings. I absolutely love working with small business owners and strive to educate my clients about all financial aspects of their businesses so they feel empowered to make decisions with confidence.

BEHIND THE BUSINESS

The name Haggai Solutions LLC comes from the Old Testament book named for the prophet, Haggai. The message of the book of Haggai is simple and direct - our choices matter and we should "put first things first." That's my mission in both my personal and professional lives, and I work hard on behalf of my clients to meet their needs through every phase of business (and life).

The best compliment I receive from clients is that I was able to simplify what was once a source of confusion for them. They now look forward to our meetings to celebrate their successes, brainstorm about how to handle upcoming challenges, and discuss their next steps to ensure continued growth in the future.
